Troop TX-0002 currently focuses on the Woodlands Trail (K-5), Navigators (6-8), and Adult Leadership programs of Trail Life USA in the Cypress, TX area.
We believe that shaping boys into men of God does not come from adult leaders alone. As we grow into an all encompassing troop, we envision Adventurers (High School) counseling Navigators (Middle School), while both groups assisting the Woodlands boys. Throughout this process Christ-centered adult leadership flows down through all areas of the troop.

Troop TX-0002 History
Trail Life USA the national organization was founded in 2013. Troops did not officially form until 2014. However, our troop had already begun meeting under the standards TLUSA set.
Troop TX-0002 was officially chartered by Houston’s First Baptist Church in Mid-2014 making us one of the first Trail Life troops in Texas and the US. Because most of the families of our troop were made up of people living in the Cypress, TX area, we sought to find a meeting place closer to home. We were gracefully offered a place at Fairfield Baptist Church and we were there from 2014-2021.
Going through the 2020-2021 global pandemic brought many challenges and changes. Our troop survived through and we are thriving. Both AHG TX-0002 and Trail Life TX-0002 have found a new charter home at St. John Lutheran Church and are excited to start a new chapter of our history there!
